Why HHT?

Humanitaire Hulp Togo (HHT) was created to provide concrete, sustainable solutions.
Major challenges in Togo: education, social insecurity, violence and infrastructure

In Togo, millions of children, young people and women face major obstacles to their development and integration.

  • An education crisis: A large number of children do not attend school due to poverty, lack of suitable infrastructure and insufficient teaching resources. Schools suffer from a lack of latrines, drinking water points and basic equipment, seriously impacting the quality of learning.
  • Persistent social insecurity among young people: many young people, without jobs or adequate training, find themselves marginalized, with no opportunities to build a sustainable future.
  • Alarming sexual violence against young girls: Sexual violence remains a worrying problem, with few appropriate support services for victims, limiting their chances of rebuilding their lives.
  • Environmental and health challenges: The lack of latrines and insufficient access to drinking water in schools and communities have a direct impact on people’s health, dignity and well-being.

Our approach

Our mission
HHT is committed to making a lasting difference to the lives of children, young people and women in precarious situations, by offering them equitable opportunities for education, social and professional integration, and personal development.

Humanitaire Hulp Togo takes concrete action to build an inclusive society. Through awareness-raising campaigns, tailored training, donations and targeted support, the association enables every child, young person and woman to overcome obstacles, develop their potential and play an active part in the development of their community.

Our vision
HHT's ambition is to become a key player in humanitarian support in Togo, contributing to the emergence of an educated, autonomous and fulfilled generation.

The HHT association aspires to build a society where every individual – child, youth or woman – can overcome challenges, access equitable opportunities and actively contribute to the development of their community.

Our objectives

Humanitaire Hulp Togo (HHT) is committed to improving the living conditions of vulnerable populations in Togo. The association works to promote access to education, social and professional integration, and the development of young people and women. It improves school and health infrastructures, while offering support to victims of violence.

Human rights and inclusion
  • Reintegrate young people in precarious situations: Provide appropriate support to help them integrate into society and the workplace by strengthening their skills, education and psychological well-being.

  • Provide educational support: Offer disadvantaged children access to quality education by eliminating poverty-related barriers through donated supplies, remedial courses and tailored coaching.

  • Identify and develop young people’s sporting potential, making sport a lever for social integration, personal fulfillment and professional opportunity.

  • Raising girls’ awareness of their femininity: Helping young girls to better understand and accept their femininity through educational programs, practical workshops and caring discussion forums.

A healthy environment and biodiversity
  • Strengthening the Togolese school system: Supporting teachers and schools through training, school equipment, sanitation and other infrastructure to improve learning conditions.

  • Improve essential infrastructures: Promote the construction and maintenance of fodder, latrines and other sanitary infrastructures, to ensure a clean and healthy environment in schools and local communities.

Support, advice and networking
  • Supporting young girls who have been victims of sexual violence: Offering psychological, medical and legal support to help victims rebuild their lives, while raising community awareness to prevent these acts and reduce their stigmatization.

  • Help young people enter the workforce: Offer mentoring programs, training workshops and masterclasses to develop young people’s skills and facilitate their integration into the professional world.
